What Is Multistreaming?

Multistreaming is the ability to use your CHAMP Live Stream to not only stream to your web site but to social media networks (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) as well as over-the-top media service (Roku and Amazon Fire). Each stream originates from your CHAMP Encoder and provides you with the ability to stream 24/7. If you’d like to enable this feature, please contact support.

A Quick Note About Social Streaming

Streaming to social media networks requires you to take on additional responsibility in streaming and recording your meetings. Although we fully support this ability, we do caution customers because CHAMP doesn’t have any control over those other networks and they can be a bit “fiddly”.

The bottom line is that there are aspects of social media networks that you’ll need to learn and manage in order to ensure a successful stream.

Streaming To Social Media

Regardless of the network, you’ll need to generate a stream key and then provide that to CHAMP Support so that they can add it to your Encoder.

Streaming To OTT

Over-the-top media service, or OTT, is where you can stream to services such as Roku, Amazon and Apple TV.

This feature is currently in a closed beta test. It will be released as an add-on where custom channels will be created for your municipality or school district. You can see our Roku Design Guide to get a sneak peak on how your custom channel would be created.

If you’re eager to learn more please contact support to be notified when it’s released.
