When you’re ready to begin using the CHAMP platform, your first step will be to create an event. This can be done in one of three ways.
- Create a blank event
- Create an event from a template
- Create an event by cloning another event
Each method can be useful depending not your goals. A blank event is handy when you’re starting from scratch and don’t have any data in the system. Using a template is great when you have boilerplate item that you use for every meeting and Cloning can be a real time saver if you need most of the data from a previous event, such as a Work Session that you want to clone into a Regular Session.
Creating A Blank Event
Log into your CHAMP account and select “Events” from the top menu. From there, select the blue button in the upper-left corner labeled “+ New Event”. This will open a pop-up window with the following options.
- Title
For example “Regular Meeting” - Description
This is an optional field that allows you to put additional information, such as location or any other information unique to your event. - Date & Time
- Board
Simply select which board this event belongs to - View Style
This is optional for when you wish to have a different styling for a specific event. For example, if you have a different look for your Work Sessions from your Regular Meetings, then CHAMP can create a custom View Style for those types of events. - Create from Template
If you wish to create an Event from a template and not from scratch, then you can do so by selecting the template you wish to use here. - Save
This creates your Event using the information you filled out in the “New Event” form.
